MAC OS X Users: Please read this.

• xplore

  A tool to view calibrator fluxes for your CARMA observations. This is currently a tcl/tk application that you will need to download. Works on Mac and Linux, not tested under Windows.

• CARMA RMS Calculator

  A tool to calculate expected sensitivity of your CARMA observations.

• CARMA Correlator configuration tool

  • CARMA Correlator Graphical Setup (CGS) lets you visualize CARMA correlator bands in frequency space and see the spectral lines that you want to observe. Once you have the setup you like, you can click to get the Python setup commands to paste into your observing script. The first time you run CGS, you will be asked to accept a certificate from CARMA/University of Maryland. Select the checkbox "Always trust content from this publisher" then click Run.

    CARMA CGS requires Java 1.6. For Windows and Linux, Java 1.6 will be automatically loaded if you run CGS via your browser. For Macintosh, Java 1.6 (aka Java SE 6) is only officially available for Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard). However, an open source Java 1.6 implementation for Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) is available here.

  • There is also CGI-based tool that allows you to visualize the correlator windows in frequency space, but does not show spectral lines.

• SZA Observer Tool

  The interface for entering the names of sources for your CARMA/SZA project, and for searching and/or modifying the SZA Source Catalog.

• Ephemerides for Solar System Objects

  Instructions for generating ephemerides for small solar system bodies are maintained at the University of Maryland.

• Real Time Displays of CARMA in Operation

  The RTDs are Java displays of monitor system data (telemetry) from the array, that let you see what the array is doing. The first time you run RTD, you will be asked to accept a certificate from Marc Pound/University of Maryland. Select the checkbox "Always trust content from this publisher" then click Run.
